Or 'Big Brum Charity Catwalk' to give it it's propper name is a charity fashion event been organised to aid Birmingham Childrens Hospital. When i heard about this event a month or so ago i thought it's best i get involved. So i did. Ended up doing behind the scenes video for them, and here's what i've come up with so far:

The fashion show itself is on 02/05/10 in birmingham city centre. Tickets are available from Bar Risa or The Ticket Sellers. I'll be runing a stall in the fashion hall on the day selling my tshirt designs and those of one of my customers who has a label called The Establishment. Come and say hello, buy loads of stuff, raise money for the kids, have fun!

Remember a while ago when i posted the AMAZING shoot Alan Gelati did with Lily Allen for Russian Harpers Bazaar? Well, it's back again! Sort of. This time illistrator David Bromley has done a painting from one of the pictures.

Looks great, no? When i first saw it i thought it was by David Downton who did one of Cate Blanchett for Australian Vogue a few months ago. The style is very similar and i think this is a great cover. Nice to see them doing something a little different rather than useing a reprint which Australian magazines are often guilty of.

So, i thought it was about time Printees got a new logo. I decided to move it forward a few decades from the Art Deco style i had before and give it an 80's flavour. I made it on my beloved Autodesk Animator Pro for MS-DOS. Made in 1990 and still does everything i need it to do. So anyway, what do you think?

A little while ago i did some tshirts for a Birmingham based Hip Hop group called the Jamkingz. Now, at last, i have some pictures from the photoshoot they did!

Okay, so i know i'm a little late with this but i finally managed to get hold of a copy of LOVE magazine with everybodys favorite supermodel Daria Werbowy on the cover! To be honest i've been a little less than impressed with previous issues but this one is great!

I mean, honestly, what's not to like about pictures of the worlds most beautiful women with their clothes off? It also features a picture of my imaginary girlfriend Lily Allen taken from the topless shoot she did for i-D a few months back. All in all good stuff. I think it must be in it's 2nd print run now as i missed it the first time so go out and grab yourselves a copy!

Yesterday i went to my first trade fair, Print & Promotion Live at th NEC. I wasn't too sure what to expect but it turns out it's pretty much like any other exibition/fair that you may have been too.

One thing i did enjoy was the number of free sweets been given out by all of the exhibitors. I did manage to find a new Tshirt supplier too. My changing of supplier had nothing to do with the fat that they gave me the most free sweets coffee and booze! Dull as hell post i know but that is what i did with my yesterday and if you design tshirts then i guess it's worth checking out. More interesting posts to follow soon, promise. ;)

Long time no post (again) but i do have a valid excuse this time. Rather than typing rubbish here i've spent the last few weeks setting up a shiny new shop. No longer going it alone i'm now part of an organisation called We Create* which aims to give young designers a helping hand into the fashion industry. As well as printing stuff to order i'm going to spend a lot more time concentrating on my own designs. As well as tshirts i'm going to be making dresses and stuff like that, i get my sewing machine in the next couple of days and already have some designs so watch this space!

I'm usually pretty slow when it comes to new models. Usually i'll go for months, sometimes even years not getting their look until one day they come out with a cover or editorial that blows my mind and has me looking back at all their previous work and deciding actually they're stunning and i love everything they've ever done.

Rosie Tupper may be the exception that proves the rule. Her thread on thefashionspot is less than 15 pages long which leads me to believe she's pretty new. As i said in my last post, i came across her in this months Uk Glamour and was blown away.

She already has an impressive body of work behind her including covers for Mexican & Australian Vogue and runway appearances for Diane Von Furstenberg & DKNY amongst others. Not bad when you're only 17.

I really do hope we're going to see even bigger and better things from this girl in the future. If you want to see her in print for yourself go out and buy this months Uk Glamour, it's worth the £2 cover price for her editorial alone. In the meantime check these links to find out more;

Every season there's a piece or two that really get my attention. A couple of seasons ago it was Balenciaga's floral armour, before that Pradas collection of jewel coloured pieces. This season i think it's going to be this print dress from Gucci. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly that so resonates with this piece, i just love it.

Again, a combination of hectic workload and inexcusable laziness has meant that i haven't updated this thing in an age. I've never been one for new years resolutions but i have told myself that i'm going to update this blog at least once a week in 2010.

Remember a few posts back when i said this isn't going to be a blog about Lily Allen? Well, i was telling the truth. It just happens that the fashion/music/art related thing that interests me most right now is also lily allen related. I don't know why i'm making excuses, this is awesome as i'm sure you'll agree.

As you have no doubt gathered by now from the pictures i am of course talking about Lily Allens AMAZING shoot for Russian Harpers Bazaar. What can i say? The styling is fantastic, it's photographed well by Alan Gelati and to quote a post i read on thefashionspot Lily is "modeling her little popstar arse off" and i love it!

Firstly, i'd like to apologise for my shameful lack of updates of late. A rather hectic workload has left me very little time for the important things in life, like updating this blog. Things have calmed down a little now allowing me time to present you with this literary masterpiece.

Now, most of the lads amongst you will know about the magic of the hair hat. For those of you that don't i will explain: you wake up in the morning your hair is a curly knotted mess and you don't want it to be like this. So, you take a woolly hat and wear it for a short while, usually the length of your journey to work/school/the pub will do. When you arrive at your destination hey presto! Straight styled hair like you just stepped out of the salon. Don't ask my why this works, it just does, okay!

Anyway, horror of horrors i left my hair hat on the train the other day. No problem i thought, i'll just go to primark and grab another Thinsulate beanie for £1. Unfortunately they had none, the only beanies they had were to disgusting for use even as a hair hat. Having failed to cut a long story short i shall just tell you that i bought this nifty Baker Boy for £3. Like it?

I should point out that this picture was taken in the curved mirror of a rather awesome occultist shop in oasis market.

Technically not a 'what i wore today' as i'm way too chicken to wear this on the streets of Birmingham. I was actually too chicken to post it here until my fashion partner in crime the wonderful Miss Amy May from Wolf-Whistle said i should go for it. She tends to be right about most things so here it is.

I guess this look is ghetto youth with a twist of the feminine. To be honest i actually think i look pretty good. anyway, you want to know what i've got on?

My levels of excitement and anticipation have been slowly building since first reading on thefashionspot that my imaginary girlfriend the oh-so-lovely Miss Lily Allen was going to be the new face of Chanel. This only increased when the promotional pictures for the Coco Cocoon were released. And now we have a behind the scenes video of the shoot proper she did with the great man himself, Karl Lagerfeld. What can i say except the fact that she looks smokin' hot! She has that whole vamp thing going on which always works for me. I'll be waiting with baited breath to see how the pictures turn out.

While i'm on the subject of Lily Allen meeting men named Karl she recently traveled to Australia to do a cameo appearance in Neighbours where she got her flirt on with Carl (with a 'C' this time) Kennedy. I haven't had a TV in years but i was an avid watcher of Neighbours back in the day. I'm going to have to track this episode down online methinks.

This isn't going to turn into a blog about Lily Allen, i promise.

Okay, i'm gonna start today by 'fessing up. This is a what i wore today post mascaraing as something more worthy. So, erm, this is what i wore today...

On seeing how i was planing to pose for this one Vicky helpfuly pointed out "Roundy, you're a twat." I think she could be right...

The cardigan was from primark about 3 years ago. Only £6 and i'm yet to find another that is as awesomely ill fitting as this. The jeans were an absolute bargain at £10 from H&M (£50 reduced to £20 then 2 for 1, BOOM!) The tshirt is of my own design.

It's hard to see on the other picture so i took a detail shot. The Elastica logo is actually swinging on a chain. Cool, no? If you want one then hit me up on my website.

Elastica were, in my opinion, the most worthy of all the mid 90's britpop bunch. Their female fronted guitar rock had more energy and was more darkly knowing than the rest put together. Their lead singer Justine Frishman had a generation of young girls both copying her pageboy haircut and hating her for shagging Damon Albarn, the lead singer of fellow britpop band Blur.

They released two studio albums; 1995's self titled and in 2001 The Menace. Why the big gap? Like any self respecting (or should that be self loathing?) 90's rockers they took the money for the first album and ran off to spend a few years smoking heroin and arguing amongst themselves.

And why Vaseline you ask? It's the name of a song.

My misspent youth had quite a varied soundtrack, everything from darkside drum & bass to britpop. I remember misspending a lot of my time listening to riot grrl bands like bratmobile and bikini kill, it would have been about this time i became aware of the sculpture 'Two fried eggs and a kebab' by Sarah Lucas.

Now, it's obviously supposed to represent lady parts and is probably making a feminist statement of some sort but i have no idea what it's supposed to be saying. I just always thought it was a great image and would probably make a mighty fine tshirt.

As if by some miracle i now find myself owning a tshirt shop so i can have whatever the hell i like on a tshirt! I made this with images i stole off the internet, just messed with the pallate so rather then the true colours all greens are a scale of one tone (think greyscale) etc. Anyways, hope you like it. Those of you that know me will know i have a bit of a (read: fucking huge) crush on lily allen. To be honest, when she first came onto the scene a few years back i wasn't overly impressed by her. Her look was a bit too little girly with a hint of chavette and her music struck me as the sort of stuff teenage girls hate their boyfriends to. I didn't DISLIKE her, she just wasn't for me.

Then out of nowhere came Lily Allen version 2.0, gone was the teenage chavette, replaced by a fully grown, fully sexual woman. I was somewhat smitten. Now, knowing this you probably won't be surprised to know i was rather chuffed to hear she was going to be on the cover of octobers ELLE magazine. Shot by Rankin and dressed in custom pieces by top British Designers.

When i first saw the shoot on thefashionspot i was not disappointed. I'd go as far as to say it's replaced the shoot she did for Q Magazine a few months back as my favorite she's done. When i got my hands on a copy of the magazine (a full 4 days early, thank you mr newsagent) i was ever so slightly disappointed. Not to say she doesn't look fantastic, i just think they could have used the shots a little better.

Just a quickie, these posters have sprung up all over newstreet station and i think they're brilliant! a worth wile message delivered in a slightly tongue in cheek manner. they remind me a little of the 'there's probably no god' posters that were on london buses a while back. They are there courtesy of a charity called stonewall who i had never heard of until today, you can find their website here.

i have a feeling i'll be wearing this on a tshirt in the near future.

These 'what i wore today' posts seem to be a staple of fashion blogs around the world and KILLKILLKILL will be no exception.

Now, i've always thought that people who wear 'fake' glasses without actually needing them are complete cunts. Using them as part of some dressing up fun is different, who can say no to a sexy secretary in a pair of smart rims, right? Wearing them out and about in day to day life is different though. I still feel the same way allthough i appear to have joined their ranks.

I've had this blog for some time now but trying to make the first entry has had me feeling like i'm stareing at a blank canvas, unsure where to make the first mark. Now seems as good a time as any to go for it. The purpose of this blog (aside from my self indulgent ramblings) is to document goings on i enjoyed/found interesting in the worlds of fashion, music and art.
